State of the union

Is this terror

Some times when I look at the state of our nation USA I wonder  what happened ?.  I mean remember us forty some thing years ago we marched in the streets, stopped trains ,blocked freeways and quit jobs to end inequality and stop a war. Most of us thought we changed the world. So I wonder what happened on our watch I wonder were we out of it in the 1960’s stoned on weed and idealism were we blinded to reality I wonder because now as we end our watch the world seems  fucked up worse than in 1965. I wonder where is that idealism in 2010
Today we are fighting  two wars. Like Vietnam today’s wars are about; well that’s just it’ we are not very clear what the wars are about. Today’s wars have their roots in a terrorist attack on  the World Trade Center in lower  Manhattan New York that killed thousands of innocent people a world-wide criminal has claimed responsibility for that attack but beyond this the facts are lost in a fog of motives, politics, greed , religious and racial unrest, same old shit.
Today I hear there is a big political  battle starting up over where are we going to hospitalize earth quake victims from Haiti. “Not in my state“, “not in my hospital“, “not with my tax money’. What have we become ?. We all know we can do it  stop the pain, heal the wounds meld the bone’s, construct buildings. We are AMERICA  just get it done.
What about our health care reform. What’s the matter with single payer “SOCIALISM” , socialism as opposed to what Usury both are just words. Health care is a right as in life is a right and that’s what reform is about its the difference between life and death for some people, like food like shelter. One in every six children live below the poverty level  in AMERICA,  we can’t afford milk or enough to eat  for our kids how can we pay for health insurance. Maybe it will work a small hardship on some of our wealthy citizens maybe we  will have to buy a few less helicopter gun ships or drones but remember we have been here before do we have less morals in 2010 then we had in 1968 this is our America we choose the government not Mr.  Hunt or MR. Prince. We the people should be in control not the like’s of  Mr. H & MR P

A human skull that apparently was turned into a ballot box for Yale’s mysterious Skull and Bones society  is going on the auction block. Christie’s estimates the skull will sell for $10,000 to $20,000 when it is auctioned on Jan. 22. The seller’s identity is being kept secret.

George W Bush’s grandfather and two other members of the group are said to have taken the remains of the Apache warrior Geronimo during the First World War.the Yale Alumni magazine published a letter written at the time of the alleged grave robbery in which a Skull and Bones member confirmed that Geronimo’s skull, femurs and some of his riding gear had been taken to the society’s hall. In 2005, Yale historian Marc Wortman discovered a letter written in 1918 from one Skull and Bones member to another that seemed to lend validity to the tale. The letter, sent to F. Trubee Davison by Winter Mead, said Geronimo’s skull and other remains were taken from the leader’s burial site, along with several pieces of tack for a horse.

“The skull of the worthy Geronimo the Terrible, exhumed from its tomb at Fort Sill by your club and Knight Haffuer, is now safe inside the T — together with is well worn femurs, bit and saddle horn,” Mead wrote.

What kind of creep would ever buy a persons remains?. Skull and bones must have had to authenticate them as Geronimo’s. This is just shameful and wrong. I hope some one digs up Columbus and and auctions him off. Disrespectful assholes

I am here alone with our cat while the old lady is in California visiting her sister. She deserves the vacation but I feel the damp black fingers of loneliness clutch at my psyche. Television news  CNN is full of bodies and parts of bodies  scattered over  the streets of Haiti they are actually loading  the bodies of grade school kids in a dump truck taking them to a landfill. Enough I grab the remote shut them out now the quiet is over whelming putting me more on edge, how can any one stand the horror. Two  former presidents and Obama;  Moe Larry and Curly telling the people of Haiti how they should react. I grab the remote pick a movie THE HURT LOCKER, fit’s the mood. Its about Iraq same horror .“WAR IS A DRUG” Are we pretending now just another TV show. Have a soda put your feet up relax its just another movie GERONIMO’S  REMAINS ARE STILL IN A VAULT AT YALE. Today the Washington state legislature “snuffed” two bills that would have legalized or decriminalized marijuana, these are the people we elected to represent us the 56% majority that favor legalization. No one is marching in the streets. WE ARE STILL IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN. No one is marching in the streets SAME SEX MARRIAGE IS STILL BANNED. No one is marching in the streets, the sixty’s just another TV movie. GERONIMO’S REMAINS ARE STILL IN A VAULT AT YALE

• A proposal to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana by adults goes to a vote in the house this week Jan. 18 to 22 please call your state house reps and tell them to LEGALIZE MARIJUANA.  Prohibition is useless to everyone except the drug cartels who use it as a cash cow to finance start up of other criminal industry’s. OH and the police use marijuana charges as a hammer to turn informants and county courts rake in money from fines. if weed is legalized taxed and regulated it will be much harder for kids under 21 to get then no when its wide open even generations ago when I was in junior high it was easy to buy but beer was the drug of choice as it is today. Marijuana and beer are not the same pot wont make a person feel like going out and racing or even driving a car or killing a deer if pot is taxed We might avoid the extra property and other taxes and program cuts our innovative and creative governer has in store for us

If We legalize marijuana  the drug cartels will disappear as fast as the rum runners of that other prohibition because they can not compete. What is hard to understand about that?. regulated sales in the state package stores will make it harder for minors to buy weed. More good news the taxes on marijuana and the savings of enforcement and eradication and imprisonment costs could just save us from any income or sales taxes. So its high time to legalize marijuana its a herb not a drug by the way. Guess what our legislators are talking about it now, its time to call them and tell them you want legal  weed

Hunt Oil

Ray L Hunt

Encouraged by the North Sea discovery (the company had again found oil in an area others had passed over), Hunt Oil decided to further expand its search for new opportunities abroad. This led Hunt to the Republic of Yemen, an ancient nation with rugged geography believed by most to be devoid of oil despite its location on the oil-rich Arabian Peninsula. In 1981, Hunt Oil Company signed a production sharing agreement with the government of Yemen and began operations. The only active oil company in the region, Hunt discovered a major oil field in 1984. The company subsequently constructed a 423-kilometer (263-mile) pipeline across harsh mountains to the Red Sea, and Yemen joined the ranks of oil exporting countries reaching production levels in excess of 150,000 barrels per day. Large reserves of natural gas, estimated at 10 trillion cubic feet, have also been discovered.
