Lithium is used for batteries, specialty glass, lubricants, pharmaceuticals and lithium alloys. Lithium ion (Li-ion) batteries have become the rechargeable battery of choice in cell phones, computers, hybrid-electric cars and electric cars. Demand for lithium carbonate is expected to increase four-fold over the next decade as production of lithium-ion battery-powered hybrid-electric and electric cars rises. GM, Ford, Toyota, Dodge, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Tesla, Saturn and Mercedes-Benz have all announced plans to build Li-ion battery-powered cars and the demand for such vehicles is currently expected to increase five-fold by 2012. Hey this is good news I think; we should receive some kind of stimulus; turn in your old car, get a new electric car and start eliminating our oil addiction. WAIT! Where does lithium come from? Out of the ground just like oil, there is trillions of dollars worth in Afghanistan; the Pentagon says so:

Better look this over good before we jump. Can lithium-ion batteries be recycled? How are lithium-ion batteries to be disposed of? How long are lithium batteries going to last? How many miles? Is there another path we can take to get off oil as soon as possible? Which path is the most ecologically sound? No, we will put profit ahead of all. All but the profiteers: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/20/japan-has-priority-on-rig_n_618545.html

Patrick  Bedells life ended in a brief and bloody gun battle outside the pentagon Thursday night March 4 2010. Bedell 36 shot and killed by three pentagon security guards after he pulled out a gun and fired on the guards. Bedelll had previously posted theory’s and manifestos on the internet claiming belief  that the united states is controlled by a sinister organization and has been since John F Kennedy’s murder in 1963. What Bedell  Did was way out of  line. What he thought about “our government” being infiltrated by a cabal out to weaken and remove our civil liberty’s for corporate profit. Well I don’t think that’s all  that far-out, is it?. A huge number of people my age have diabetes but health care don,t get passed unless it’s a gravy train for insurance company’s. ADM keeps pumping out high fructose corn syrup and pouring it in every thing. Marijuana is illegal but not HFCS. We are fighting two wars that are bankrupting the country, killing young people and making the oil barons and war profiteers richer and richer. How is the wars making life in America better?. Its making terrorism worse and more prevalent. So don’t blow off Bedells theory casually rather think deeply about what determines who gets nominated and elected to “represent” We the people?, is this the way it should be in America today. how much influence does the media have over us voters?. How much does what you think count…

Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) claimed on MSNBC this afternoon that the Bush administration purposely let Osama bin Laden get away in 2001 so they could use al-Qaeda as an excuse to invade Iraq.

Hey it worked!; They  have made FOOLS of  us all. I believe  the hand-picked Whitehouse crew accomplished what they wanted; Bush got to be “a war president” and the wars got them the pipeline, Iraq oil, profits for KBR, Halliburton and the rest  of the MIC. We are paying the bill with our young peoples blood. So now almost nine years and thousands of casualties too late here we go listening to these chicken hawks and sending 30.000 more “troops” to do the short work 4.000 marines  were ready to do in 2001.  Remember those “Troops” all have faces, maybe your kid or the paper boy or the pictures in the current high school year book.
I think we better pull every one out now give the people of Afghanistan and Iraq what they need to rebuild there countries as they see fit.
Congress should go ahead with an investigation of the Bush administration. No matter what happens Afghanistan will always be George Bush jr’s war
